So September is my birthday month (which actually falls on a Friday the 13th this year ), and I think I’m gonna treat myself to a bunch of webcomic stuff. My list of webcomics is pretty sizeable now, but I personally find it difficult to read in large chunks online. And since most of the webcomics on my reading list are new discoveries for me, they tend to be quite extensive. I’m talking hundreds of pages for each title. Not all of these webcomics sell books, but many of them do. So I’ve decided that for my birthday, any monies I get (including my own hard earned cash) will be spent on hard-copy versions of webcomics. I’ll still be reading “most” of my webcomics(along with everything else ) online. I posted a pic of some of the webcomic books I’m currently working on getting through, below.
Speaking of purchasing webcomics, I have 2 crowd-funded campaigns that I’m looking forward to.
A REDTAIL’S DREAM: This book is a whopping 608 pages. And it’s a perfect example of another book I will have to buy because I can’t stare at the screen on my computer for 600 pages. But give me the beverage and snack of my choice, a comfy couch or bed, and a well drawn/written book…and I can read forever.
LILITH DARK: I found out about this Kickstarter, right here on the Bully’s Bully site (banner ads). I’m actually quite familiar with this webcomic, but had no idea they were doing a Kickstarter. And what’s not to like about a strong young girl that kicks wrong-doer butt.
And on a side note, you may have noticed that the site looks a little different. That wasn’t us doing that by choice. We clicked the latest update on Comicpress, and next thing we know, we’re working with Comic Easel. It affected a few things like our widgets, backgrounds, etc. But, our focus was on making sure the comic was up and running. We’ll tweak the rest as time allows.
